Foodies will likely enjoy this place, but it's not super adventurous so you can take your cautious friends and they'll love it too. This is a hidden gem with a decidedly "dive" vibe, so if you're expecting a swanky atmosphere, look elsewhere. Disappointed that the iced tea served was instant and not brewed. The dining room is cramped so get ready to meet your neighbors! They have a tiny fountain soda machine with limited Pepsi products, but the syrup on my Diet Pepsi was great. French Fries: they're fried potatoes, so really hard to mess up. Disappointed that the flour tortilla wasn't homemade, though. The cheese was good quality and the seasoning on the grilled shrimp had just the right amount of spice. There were so many shrimp in this thing that they were spilling out with every bite. I'm not kidding, and I say that as a huge eater. Grilled Shrimp Quesadilla: this was big enough for two people to share as an entree. $5.25 for one taco was a bit steep, but the fish was super fresh and filled with tons of umami flavors! Salmon Taco: so fresh, perfectly grilled on the medium-well side, and well-seasoned! I really loved this, but it was very small. Minus a star because the flour tortilla isn't homemade. Shrimp Burrito: thing was huge! Felt like it weighed a pound! Packed with yumminess and a giant portion of shrimp. Appropriately greasy and well seasoned with a side of ranch for dipping. Fried Zucchini: as fresh as can be, real chunks of zucchini lightly battered and fried. Not the best chips or salsa, but I did enjoy the spice of the runny red sauce.

Chips & Salsa Bar (FREE): there's a free self-serve corn tortilla chip machine and very small salsa bar with a green salsa, a red salsa, and traditional pico de gallo (which was mostly onions and needed more tomatoes). There's a fresh seafood case and a very simple menu. around 11 am and the restaurant was packed with big, burly dock workers from the Port of Long Beach (that's a few blocks over)! I knew we were in the right place when we walked in. Special occasions Restaurants in WilshireĪwesome little hole-in-the-wall seafood joint with a Mexican slant!
